Eh, I gotta keep my list of favorite bands to please that "omg, I have to tell everyone in the world about this song" urge.
Modest Mouse, Of Montreal, The Decemberists, The Shins, Hot Hot Heat, Islands, Los Campesinos!, Pinback, Arcade Fire, Tokyo Police Club, Wolf Parade, Interpol, Broken Social Scene, MGMT, Radiohead, Band of Horses, Moby, Daft Punk, The Thermals, Harvey Danger, The Postal Service.
Recently, I've been using iTunes Genius on some Broken Social Scene music. This has been producing some awesome playlists, with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (oh gosh, I like, I like), and finally getting me to listen to the Andrew Bird (I approve) in my library.
Ah, it's even ended my The Unicorns/Islands marathon. However, I recently acquired more of their discography (as well as some Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, and Mates of State. excitement!), so I may revert.
This stupidly-long-list-of-bands-I-like has gone back to my first actually-hosted website (RIP GeoCities). Speaking of which, I recently visited my first email address, jess1mathematician. Heh. Unfortunately, the account had been deactivated, and my emails deleted. Ah well. Onwards with the list.
